CANADA-PHILIPPINES SOLIDARITY ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND MIGRANTS BC
We members of the Canada-Philippines Solidarity on Human Rights and Migrants B.C., extend our condolences to the family of Dr. Hari Sharma, to his comrades and to the South Asian Network for Secularism and Democracy (SANSAD) on his passing away.
We knew him as a community activist, a staunch anti-imperialist, a Marxist, a champion of the rights of migrants and immigrants, and of the struggles of peoples against war and occupation, dictatorships and for national liberation. As member organizations of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), we acknowledge his role in the setting up and building of this militant international alliance.
Dr. Hari Sharma’s life and work is a legacy that will continue to inspire all of us in our work of fighting injustice and oppression regardless of where it takes place, in Canada and elsewhere. Dr. Hari Sharma will be missed.
