BIG BROTHER IN THE PROMISED LAND (A COMMEMORATIVE POEM)
Sunder and Sonati
Big Brother’s off to
The Promised Land
They’re gonna lay out
Red carpet and Band
His opposite number
Will hug him tight
And they’ll say this and that
About each other’s plight
Each will play
The victim card
And vow to hit
The oppressors hard
Both their ideologies
Match to a T
In fact their grins, too
You can see
Those grins send
Shivers down my spine
But as I straighten it
I know I’ll be fine
With millions and millions
And you and me
Standing up to these “victims”
Will be our solidarity
When that Solidarity
Reaches Critical Mass
Those grins will be wiped out
And it’ll come to pass
That The Promised Land
Will once again be free
All the way from the river
Right down to the sea
