How fortunate and blessed my family and I have been to have met and known Daya. He had a remarkable insight, a quiet understanding, and generosity to give more than what he had already bestowed in terms of kindness, comfort and love…. and could intuitively sense people and what they were about. His generosity and kindness was bestowed on all the people lucky enough to cross his path.
Daya and Shree met the Pasha family at just such a moment, and were there for us just so naturally as a long hard season changes…. with all its subtleties, delicacies and colors….always there with joy and happiness…..convincing those around them in the belief that its always the people who matter above all…Daya and Shree became part of our family and our soul. I will never forget how Daya travelled all the way to Lahore, Pakistan, setting everything aside to attend and add so much to my daughter Mariam’s wedding.
He has left us an enduring memory of a person with a heart of gold and someone you could bet your life on….
Deep within we will always cherish Daya, with great gratitude, admiration and fondness, and to all that he was. We are honoured and feel richer because we knew him. His wisdom, his affection and his presence will be with us in our hearts forever.
